Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel. Participate in a welcome briefing in the evening.

Load your supplies into the overland vehicle and travel to Maisa Mara, a trip that will take around 7 hours. The region is home to a wealth of stunning wildlife, including wildebeest, gazelle, zebra, and buffalo. If you visit between mid-August to late-October, you may witness the annual migration of the wildebeest, of which the number of these creatures can reach into the hundreds if not thousands.

Spend 2 nights at Mountain Rock Camp or similar.

Enjoy a full day game drive in Masai Mara. In the afternoon, you will have a quiet picnic lunch near your vehicle, admiring the scenery and native wildlife. There is also an optional hot air balloon ride at sunrise.

Leave Masai Mara in the morning and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is well known for its large population of Black and White Rhinos, which you will see during one of your many game drives. You may also witness a small flamingo population; however, this will depend on the amount of rainfall that has occurred, as flooding as severely altered the alkaline content of the lake.

Stay overnight at the KWS Campsite or similar.

In the morning, drive in search of wild game in Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy lunch, then take a 3-hour drive to the city of Eldoret.

Stay overnight at the Green Wood Campsite or similar.

Today will involve a long 7-hour drive to Jinja, Uganda. The city is a major station on the Ugandan Railway, and is famous as a historic source of the Nile River. One of the most popular excursions to participate in is white-water rafting.

Spend 2 nights at Adrift Camp or similar.

Enjoy a full day of optional activities in the city of Jinja. Outside of white-water rafting, you can also visit the source of the White Nile.

Depart Jinja and drive to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive will take about 6 hours to complete, with plenty of rest and meal breaks along the way. You should arrive at your destination by late afternoon.

Stay for 3 nights at the Red Chilli Murchison or similar.

In the early morning, go for a game drive in search of native wildlife in Murchison Falls National Park. Transfer by ferry to the north side of the Nile, and then depart for the game drive.

Murchison Falls National Park is home to a wide range of wildlife, including buffalo, elephants, and giraffe, along with natural predators like leopards and tigers. Following a delicious lunch, you will proceed up the Nile by boat, passing by the marine wildlife such as hippos and crocodiles.

You will then reach Devil’s Cauldron, an active geographical feature that bursts out water through the narrow gorges. With enough water, the spectacle produces a marvelous rainbow; a great photographic opportunity.

Leave Murchison Falls and head to Budongo Forest. The main attraction at Budongo Forest is the Chimpanzee Tracking excursion. Here you will traverse through flat, easy to navigate terrain, in search of a Chimpanzee family. Upon finding one, you will spend a maximum of one hour watching them. This all takes place with the guidance of a professional wildlife expert.

Depart the Budongo Forest and go for a long drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Your journey will take you across the eastern length of the Rwenzori Mountains, and if the weather permits you may see glaciated peaks too.

Upon arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park, check in to your accommodation. Stay for 2 nights at the Irungu Forest Safari Campsite or similar.

Explore the Queen Elizabeth National Park with an engaging game drive. In the afternoon, you can take an optional boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, which will take about 2 hours. If you do not wish to join the boat trip, you can continue with the game drive.

Take part in one last game drive in the early morning. After breakfast, head to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to Mountain Gorillas. The drive will take between 5-6 hours to complete.

Stay for 2 nights at the Casa Gorilla Lodge & Campsite or similar.

The full day will be spent in search of Mountain gorillas. This will involve the assistance of a wildlife expert and tour guide, who will take you off the beaten path and in the direction of Mountain gorilla activity.

By taking a strong focus on safety and precautionary measures, your tour guide will gently track down a family of Mountain gorillas. Upon finding one, you will spend a maximum of 1-hour near the gorilla family. This is the perfect opportunity to take photographs.

The experience is considered to be one of the most enjoyable and memorable in Africa, due to the rarity of the animals. You will not want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

In the early morning, transfer to Kigali airport. The trip will come to an official end in the afternoon, when you say farewell to the group.
