In this sample itinerary, you will get a taste of what to expect from this treasured region, from enjoying boat trips along the Amalfi Coast to visiting the historical Herculaneum Ruins and Pompeii.
Day 1: Flay to Naples | Agerola
Fly from London to Naples. Then take a 1h 20m drive to Agerola. Along the way, you will travel past Vesuvius and Pompeii, as well as the Sorrentine Peninsula and Bomerano. You will then meet your friendly and knowledgeable hosts, owners of the family-run Due Torri Hotel.

Day 2: Amalfi | Positano
Take a private bus to Amalfi. You will be introduced to the unmatched beauty of this Mediterranean landscape, bearing witness to its majestic hills and valleys, coastal scenery, and crisp fresh air. In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, and then relax in a sun-filled piazza or visit a paper museum.
From there, travel to Positano by boat. On the way, you will get a better view of the enchanting cliffs and shorelines that make up the Amalfi Coast. Positano is one of many villages built by the ancient romans, and is just as mesmerizing and beautiful as Amalfi.

Day 3: Herculaneum | Pompeii
Visit the historical ruins of Herculaneum and Pompeii, two ancient cities that were once buried by ash and mud, as the result of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 CE. The ruins were eventually restored in the 18th century and have been lovingly preserved.
With assistance from local tour guides, learn about the historical significance of these two sites, and the circumstances that led to their demise and revival. Entrance tickets are included as part of your trip cost.
Return to the hotel for dinner and a cooking demonstration.

Day 4: Path of the Gods
Head to the quiet village of Bomerano. Walk for part of the Path of the Gods, one of the most revered trails in the world. The trail runs all the way to Positano, and it offers breathtaking views of the scenery and coastal shorelines.
Your expert tour guide will help you navigate the, at times, rough terrain. Meal and rest breaks will be frequent. You will also enjoy a rewarding barbecue lunch if weather permits.

Day 5: Vesuvius, Sorrento, Naples
Enjoy a free day on the Amalfi Coast. Take the opportunity to visit one or more of the surrounding regions, including Vesuvius, Sorrento, and Naples. Mount Vesuvius is home to an active volcano, while Sorrento is a small resort with a strong boating sector. Naples is a lively, energetic city with amazing local art and panoramic views.
You can book these optional activities on the day.

Day 6: Capri
Enjoy breakfast. Then take a bus to Amalfi and board a boat to the Island of Capri. During the boat trip, you will marvel at the stunning small coves and bays of the azure water, while overlooking the towering cliffs.
Upon arrival, you will walk up to Capri town and visit the remains of Vila Jovis, the former home of Tiberius, a fearsome Roman emperor that reined from 14 to 37 AD. You will also enjoy free leisure in the afternoon, where you can explore the boutique shops before returning to the hotel by boat.

Day 7: Ravello | Villa Cimbrone
Explore the romantic hilltop town of Ravello. This vibrant cultural epicenter is home to the Villa Cimbrone, a lovingly restored site with expansive gardens and dramatic views. There is also the Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium, a concert hall built by famed Brazilian architect Oscair Niemeyer, and the Villa Rufolo, a villa built by a wealthy merchant family in the 13th century.
