During your 14-day trip to Alaska, you will explore vast mountain ranges, wildlife parks, and various water features that bring the environment to life.
Enjoy a full day wildlife cruise around Resurrection Bay and the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge. Your onboard tour guide will give you detailed commentary about your surroundings, the type of marine and land wildlife in the area, and their unique lifestyle habits. You may even see Humpback Whales!
Covering six million acres of land, the Denali National Park is a large, beautiful region to explore. You will get two days to explore this majestic land, trekking across low-elevation forests, snowy mountains, and the high alpine tundra. And with access to a bus pass, it will be easy to travel far and wide, wherever you want to go.
Spend two days exploring the Wrangell-St Elias National Park. You’ll get to participate in many optional activities, including hiking, educational science and research sessions, and park road audio tours.
The Worthington Glacier is one of the most recognizable glaciers in Alaska. You can see the glacier from Richardson Highway and the Worthington Glacier State Recreation Site. It was designated as a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service in 1968.

Alaskan Wilderness & Wildlife Adventure
Alaska is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world. In this sample itinerary, you will quickly discover why. The region is home to unique marine and land wildlife, surprisingly untouched natural landscapes, and a wealth of optional activities such as hiking and cruise trips. Whether your priority is to relax, seek thrills, or go wildlife watching, Alaska is sure to please.
Start your Alaskan journey in Anchorage, the largest city in the region, with a population of around 300,000 people. Spend the day exploring the city and get a feel for the culture and the surroundings. You can participate in a wealth of optional activities, too. Visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum, and the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center.
A welcome meeting will take place at 18:00 hrs, where you will meet your tour leader and fellow travelers. Stay overnight at the La Quinta Inn & Suites or similar.

Travel from Anchorage to the Denali National Park. On the way, visit Talkeetna, a small town located 115 miles north of Anchorage. Take a walk down Main Street and marvel at the historic buildings, art galleries, and shops. Then drop by the local brewery for a refreshing beverage.
Proceed to the Denali National Park. Participate in optional activities such as a dogsled demonstration, mountain biking excursion in Denali, and whitewater rafting in Denali.

Spend the next two days participating in the previously mentioned optional activities at Denali National Park. You will have access to a bus pass, which will let you travel into the wilderness and go wildlife watching. From the safety of the bus, you may come across grizzly bears, wolves, caribou, dall sheep, and moose.
You will also have the chance to go on your own hiking adventure, with no set trail or destination. If you are unsure where to go, your tour guide will recommend local spots and scenic highlights.

Head to the Alaska Range and stay overnight at the participatory camping sites. Enjoy an authentic Alaskan experience in a remote location, one that is home to plenty of bird species – not to mention the occasional grazing caribou.

Drive through the Copper Valley and head to the Wrangell-St Elias National Park. On the way, you will stop by the Liberty Falls Trail for a short nature walk. You will then stay at the small town of McCarthy, which is the main base of the Wrangell-St Elias National Park.
For the next 2 days, you can explore the park and participate in optional activities. One of the most notable activities is the Ghost Town tour at the Kennecott Copper Mill. The building is from the early 20th century when copper mining was at its peak in the region.

Continue your Alaskan journey with a 2-night stay at Valdez. The town was established after an earthquake in 1964, which destroyed the previous town. It features numerous surrounding hiking trails, such as the Keystone Canyon Pack Trail and Mineral Creek Trail. You can also learn about the history of Alaska, and the famous gold rush period, with a visit to the local museum.
Stay for 2 nights at the Best Western or similar.

Get onto the Alaska state ferry. Leave behind Valdez and make your way to Seward. During this 6-hour cruise, you will enjoy incredible views of the mountain ranges, glimpses of Alaskan marine life, and the surrounding bays and fjords. You will arrive at Whittier and then transfer to the small town of Seward.

Head off on a full-day wildlife cruise around Resurrection Bay, including the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge. Your tour guide will provide a detailed history of the region, and you may spot all kinds of wildlife like sea lions and otters.

Make your way to the Kenai Fjords National Park. Inside the park is the Harding Icefield, which is about 300 square miles in size. If the weather is fine, you will go on a walk from Exit Glacier to the Harding Icefield.
Along the way, you will reach an elevation point of 900m, and you can then admire the stunning views from the lookout point. If the conditions are too snowy, this walk may not be feasible. You may also use an easier, more accessible trail to reach a different point of the glacier.
From there, transfer to the fisherman town of Homer. Spend 2 nights at a Participatory Camping Site.

Enjoy a full day of leisure in the town of Homer. Optional activities include kayaking, a visit to the Alaska Islands & Ocean Visitor Center, and a visit to Kachemak Bay.

Have breakfast and pack up camp. Then spend the next few hours driving to Alyseka, and enjoy a final wilderness walk in the region. Make your way back to your original starting city, Anchorage, and enjoy free leisure until the tour ends at around 17:00 hrs.
